Free, accurate salary calculators so you always know exactly what lands in your bank account.
TakeHomeDollar.com is built and maintained by Curtis Stacey, a software engineer based in Utah. The site is operated by Azure Meridian Services LLC, a Utah-registered business entity.
The project started from a simple frustration: salary numbers mean nothing without knowing what you actually take home. A $100,000 job offer in California and a $100,000 offer in Texas are not the same offer. A $10,000 raise doesn't put $10,000 in your pocket. Most people have to dig through IRS tables and state tax department PDFs to figure this out — or trust a black-box calculator that doesn't explain its math.
TakeHomeDollar does the math in the open: every calculation runs in your browser using verified tax rates sourced directly from the IRS, SSA, and state revenue departments. No black boxes, no data collection, no accounts. Just numbers you can trust and verify.

TakeHomeDollar.com exists for one reason: to give anyone, anywhere, a fast and honest answer to the question "How much will I actually take home?"
Whether you're evaluating a job offer, planning a budget, or just trying to understand why your paycheck is smaller than you expected — our calculators cut through the confusion. No sign-up, no fees, no upsells. Just clear numbers based on the latest tax rates.
We built TakeHomeDollar because most salary calculators are buried inside payroll software products aimed at HR teams, not individuals. We wanted something clean and instant for regular people.
Every calculation runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — no data is ever sent to a server. Here's what we factor in for each country:

Our paycheck calculator also accounts for pre-tax deductions like 401(k) contributions, HSA, and health insurance premiums.
